    Opening game

    Margie 2-2 Wardy

In what was a very tense affair, Margie opened the scoring when a well struck shot by Tom Cleverly was deflected beyond the keeper. On the stroke of half time, Diakhate levelled as he poked in after a scramble in the box. Wardy edged ahead as Obi's smart shot found the corner. This looked to be the winner until Mame Birame Diouf broke the offside trap and slotted past the keeper. Both teams went for a winner but both defended stubbornly. 2-2 a fair result but Wardy may feel slightly aggrieved not to win.

MOTM-Tom Cleverley, showed some great ability on the ball and opened the scoring with a deflected shot.

    2nd game

    Wardy 2-2 Margie

In another tense game, a late show by Lazzari rescued a point against a plucky FC Cock a Hoop. Cleverly and a shocking own goal by Munox put Margie in the lead after El Kabir put Wardy ahead. It looked like Margie was going to secure a massive win until Lazzari popped up in stoppage time with a ferocious shot inside the box that beat Hilario all ends up. Maybe it could have been different if N'Gog had not missed an open goal early on, one fan I interviewed said " I know he is no Robbie Fowler but fuck me!, my nan could have scored that, and she is dead".

MOTM- Hilario, his saves preserved an unlikely point for Margie and was impressive throughout. Could not have done anything about the goals.
